This is the second “Trompe L’oeil” painting in the mural project ...
(French for ‘trick-of-the-eye’).
The fake additions to the facade include stonework on all 19 arches and a focal point mural on the north facing wall.
This is the second mural in the project, which also goes around the corner of the building.
The building owner Michael Dooley requested the sailboat scene to support the building’s name: “Homeport”.
Find the “hidden” elements:
- bee
-bird’s nest
-paw print
It was very special to celebrate our first year anniversary with another mural - again in conjunction with the annual Hobe Sound Festival of the Arts. The Festival was well attended and we benefited from the many pedestrians who stopped to talk. We were also pleased to receive some donations from this appreciative audience. We started during the cold and rain week before, but were in the completion stage by that week-end.
Thank you to all!
